Mildura MP Jade Benham is calling on the Victorian Government to ensure road maintenance funding is increased in this year’s state budget.
The local member says the government funding has been cut by 45 per cent since 2020, and less money is expected in the budget due to be handed down next month.
She says many local drivers are familiar with having to dodge potholes and cracks across the bitumen in the state’s northwest, but says the issue has become a matter of life and death.
