Almost half of Victoria’s teaching vacancies are going unfilled as the state’s education crisis deepens.
The impact is being felt most in the regions with the Mallee, Gippsland and Goulburn Valley among the worst-hit areas.
State Minister Mary-Ann Thomas says teaching is a worthwhile career and school leavers should be considering it.
