Mildura MP Jade Benham is calling on the Victorian Government to provided financial support for Bush Nursing Centres including the Woomelang and District Bush Nursing Centre.
The Nationals member says while nurses deserve a pay rise, the local facility is expected to cover the wage increases recently agreed to by the Allan Government, which they can’t afford.
She says it’s unfair remote care centres have had a ten per cent funding cut, but the minister is remaining silent on government support for the wage rises.
