Bus Safety Week

Monday 23 February to Sunday 1 March 2026 is Bus Safety Week in the state of New South Wales.

Buses are large, heavy vehicles.

They can’t stop quickly and have large blind spots than other vehicles.

Whether you’re out walking, riding or driving, the call is to Be Bus Aware.

Between 2020 and 2024 there were 40 fatalities from bus crashes (including minibuses) in NSW, and

236 people were seriously injured in crashes involving buses in NSW.
