Wentworth Shire Council announced on Friday that the Buronga Effluent Disposal System is out of service due to an electrical fault and is unavailable.
The notice on social media said that the facility would be unavailable for at least the entirety of the weekend.
Council was advising houseboat owners that they should use the Dareton or Wentworth Effluent Disposal System until further notice from Council.
