Local group Build the Base have called for a meeting with state Health Minister Mary-Anne Thomas regarding the future of the Mildura Base Public hospital.
The group, led by former Member for Mildura and current Deputy Mayor Ali Cupper, has called for the meeting to discuss the future of the redevelopment, after gaining considerable public support for the project to be ramped up.
Images of the project’s plans have previously been made public, but the project has largely stalled in recent times.

Cupper says it is essential to see the facility built to required standards as there are several services that are not easily accessible to locals even in neighbouring regions.
The group says they are still awaiting a response from the health minister.
