Fruit grower Nutrano has been fined almost 25-thousand dollars for allegedly breaching the Horticulture Code.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission issued the company, Seven Fields Operations which trades at Nutano, with two infringement notices alleging it failed to specify the price it received for produce in grower statements.
The watchdog also alleges Nutrano didn’t adequately specify the quality requirements and specifications that would be used to determine the quality of the growers produce.

Nutrano co-operated with the investigation, an is implementing a compliance program.
