A late afternoon torrential downpour at Mildura’s Olympic Park speedway saw an abrupt finish to any chance that the Mildura Truck Centre, Bradshaw Sidecar Shootout had of being staged last Saturday night.
Following the postponement, negotiations during Sunday successfully concluded and the Sidecar Shootout will be re-staged Saturday night, 7th March, using a field as similar to last Saturday nights field as is possible.
The Club appreciates efforts made by so many to publicly advise of the Club’s necessary action following the storm and knows that the same agencies will assist in advising of the replay date.
The Mildura Club was always mindful that the chance of the forecast Thunderstorms could arrive at any time.
A heavy storm duly arrived around 5 :00 pm and after the 30-minute deluge, the track was flooded and the carpark was drenched.
Olympic Park officials met and officially abandoned the meeting at 5:30 pm.
Mildura Motorcycle Club apologises to any patrons who missed out on last Saturday’s meeting, but assures folk that spectator interests are always in the mind of Club deliberations and hopes that patrons will not be too inconvenienced by the re-scheduling to Saturday 7th March.
