A young boy has died after being hit by a car in Balranald.
About 3.15pm yesterday (Wednesday 13 December 2023), emergency services responded to reports that a child had been hit by a vehicle on Market Street, Balranald.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 9-year-old boy at the scene where he was conveyed to Balranald District Hospital but died a short time later.
The driver, a 43-year-old man, was taken to the same hospital for mandatory testing.
Police secured a crime scene to await the arrival of specialist police.
