A Senate inquiry into regional bank branch closures will hold its first hearing in Victoria today.
It’s being held in Sale and comes after Westpac announced it would pause its planned closures of outlets including the one at Robinvale.
The Finance Sector union says banking should be an essential service, especially for those in regional and rural areas.
