The Balranald Multipurpose Service suffered severe damage during a storm around 10:00pm on Monday evening.
No residents or staff were hurt as a result of the storm.
Balranald Shire Council have alerted the public that:
– The Emergency Department currently remains non-operational and all emergency presentations in Balranald are being diverted to Swan Hill.
– People are urged to call Triple 000 in the event of an emergency.
– The Aged Care Section of the MPS remains unaffected.
– The GP Clinic Service continues to operate as normal.
– The front entrance to the Balranald MPS remains temporarily closed.
Entry can be gained by going to the GP clinic entrance, and council asks the community to please follow signage.
The site continues to be assessed for storm damage and to make it safe and secure.
While this is occurring, the public are urged to avoid visiting Balranald MPS if they are able to.
Any visitors are advised to follow signage and staff instructions if they are on site.
