Concerning figures show there have been 47 reports of assaults on paramedics in the Loddon Mallee during the last financial year.
Ambulance Victoria says that trend is continuing with 26 incidents reported by paramedics within the region between July and November.
The emergency service says they have zero tolerance for occupational violence as part of the job, warning paramedics will leave a scene if they felt unsafe.

Locals are being urged to support paramedics during the festive season.
