Applications are now open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses across Sunraysia and the Mallee for this year’s Indigenous Business Month Awards.
The awards recognise outstanding achievements across four main categories that showcase business excellence, leadership, innovation and collaboration.
Among the categories is a regional business award which recognises Indigenous businesses making a significant contribution to their local town or community.
Co-Founder of Indigenous Business Month, Doctor Michelle Evans, says applications close at the end of this month with the winners to be announced this October.
This will mark the eleventh year of Indigenous Business Month – a nationwide First Nations’ community-led celebration of the talent, strength, and resilience of First Nations businesses across Australia.
In 2025 the awards reflect on how far the community has come and look to the future under the powerful theme “Strength through Collaboration”.
