The Murray River at Lock 8 and Lake Victoria outlet Regulator have been issued an Amber Alert for blue-green algae.
The Darling River at Burtundy and Ellerslie are also on Amber alert for blue-green algae.
Blue-green algae can reproduce quickly in still or slow-flowing water when there is abundant sunlight and sufficient nutrients.
