Mildura Rural City Council have taken to social media to warn the community that if they intend to visit the Alfred Deakin Centre or Mildura Waves this Friday there will be a temporary disruption to parking to allow for the installation of a new solar system at the venue.
Most of the dedicated parking for the Alfred Deakin Centre and Mildura Waves adjacent to Twelfth Street will be closed between 7.30am and 12.30pm.
This will allow for solar panels to be safely craned onto the roof of the building.
Accessible car parks and parking bays at the Cedar Avenue end of the venue will still be available.
Parking will still be available opposite the building in Twelfth Street, and in front of the building in Deakin Avenue.
Mildura Rural City Council apologises for any inconvenience, but these temporary arrangements are necessary to allow for the safe installation of the new solar system and to protect public safety.
