Advice – Grass Fire – Koorlong and Merrinee

A grassfire west of Red Cliffs has burned through around 85 hectares, but has been contained.

The blaze broke out yesterday afternoon, with firefighters remaining on the scene overnight.

• There is a grassfire in the Koorlong State Forest at Merrinee that is contained.

There is currently no threat to you, but you should stay informed and monitor conditions.

• Keep the roads clear so emergency services can respond.

• Smoke may be visible in the coming days from nearby communities and roads.
