The power of lifelong learning and the range of adult education opportunities available to Sunraysia locals is being highlighted this Adult Learners Week (1-8 September).
The annual event celebrates all forms of learning, from formal education to informal experiences, including opportunities to enhance skills in reading, writing and technology.
It comes as figures show 44% of Australians aged 15 to 74 have very low literacy levels and just over half (54%) have very low numeracy skills.
The President of Adult Learning Australia, Kathleen Priestly, says there are several opportunities and environments for locals to reengage with education, regardless of age.
