The importance of adult and community education, especially in our regional and rural communities, is being highlighted this Adult Learners Week.
It comes as figures show more than 3 million Australians aged 15 to 74 (16%) are currently involved in adult learning, with some 30% studying at adult education or training institutions.
Federal Minister for Skills and Training, Andrew Giles, says there are a variety of ways locals can engage with adult learning, in both formal and informal settings.
Adult Learners Week runs September 1st – 8th, 2025, celebrating it’s 30th anniversary.
