Wentworth Shire Council has reminded river users that Transport for NSW has authorised additional bridge lifts of the Wentworth Bridge to allow safe passage for the PS Melbourne along the Darling River.
Additional bridge lifts will occur today, Friday 15 August, Friday 22 August and Friday 29 August at approximately 5.30pm.
Council is encouraging motorists to plan ahead and thanks the community for its patience and understanding during these scheduled lifts.

General lift times are Monday to Friday, 9:30am, 11:30am and 2:30pm, and weekends and public holidays 9:30am, 11:30am, 2:30pm and 5:00pm.
Council asks users to call 5027 5027 to book a bridge lift. (Please note, a minimum of 4 hours’ notice is required)
