31st RFDS Rowathon

The 31st Annual Flying Doctor Rowathon is a one day 75 Kilometre marathon row on Saturday 14th September 2024, held on the Darling and Murray Rivers and hosted by Wentworth District Rowing Club.

It is the longest one day marathon rowing regatta in Australia and has raised over $750.000 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.  

In 2024 the Flying Doctor Rowathon will again be raising funds for RFDS Wellness (Mental Health) Programs in remote communities.

The 2024 event will start at Apex Park, Mildura with rowers traveling 25Km down the mighty Murray River to Coomealla Golf Course landing where they will stop for morning tea and a rest before setting off again, a further 25Km, down the Murray to the junction of the Darling River then row upstream on the Darling to Wentworth District Rowing Club.

They will stop there for lunch and a rest with perhaps a crew change then set off again rowing approximately 12.5Km up the Darling to a turn buoy and then row back to the rowing club and finish.

The total distance rowed will be approximately 75Km.

This year there are over 140 rowers and supporters from the ACT, NSW, SA, Tasmania and Victoria.
