The Victorian Government has announced an extra one-and-a-half BILLION dollars in additional funding for the state’s hospitals.
The state is also moving away from plants to merge hospitals, following months of concerns hospitals including Mildura could be amalgamated with other health organisations.
Mildura MP Jade Benham has welcomed the funding, but she’s worried amalgamations or consolidations could creep back in.

She’s instead calling for the Government to invest in programs that are known to work, such as the Northern Mallee Integrated Partnership.
