Farrer residents have the opportunity to share their feedback on access to specialist healthcare as an inquiry gets underway.
Member for Farrer David Farley is encouraging all residents to have their say.
“In order for meaningful change to be achieved and health outcomes to be improved, the Committee needs to hear your experiences,” Mr Farley said.
Constituents have until November 20 to complete a short online survey to assist the House Standing Committee on Health, Aged Care and Disability understand barriers people are facing to access affordable specialist health care.
The committee evaluated current levels of access, the effectiveness of referral pathways and affordability of services, including out-of-pocket costs in the private system and access through the public system.
Patient outcomes as well as innovative and emerging models of care that may improve access for patients will also be evaluated.
Specific submissions addressing the Committee’s terms of reference are also being sought by Friday, October 16.
Those who wish for their submission not to be published online have an option to make theirs confidential.
