Mildura Rural City Council have announced that nominations are now open for the 2027 Australia Day Awards.
Nominations are now open in the following categories:
- Citizen of the Year
- Young Citizen of the Year
- Community Event or Project of the Year

People making nominations are encouraged to provide as much information as possible as it is this information that forms the majority of the assessment process.
Nominations can be made by visiting www.mildura.vic.gov.au/awards and can be submitted until 5pm on Friday 30 October this year.
Wentworth Shire Council also announced nominations are open for their awards this week, with entries closing on Friday November 13.
