The Mildura region will be showcased to a global sporting audience over the next week as part of one of the biggest and most exciting new bowls events – the WBS Prime Sunraysia Classic 2026.
Part of the World Bowls Series, the WBS Prime Sunraysia Classic 2026 will be played at the following venues through to Friday, 11 September.
- Rio Vista Bowls Complex (main event hub)
- Irymple Bowls Club
- Red Cliffs Bowling Club
- Wentworth Bowling Club
The Sunraysia Classic will offer up to $15,000 in prize money and the finals of all disciplines will be live streamed to a global audience on World Bowls TV.
The WBS Prime Sunraysia Classic 2026 will feature bowlers aged 55 and over across six days of competition in the following categories:
- Mixed Pairs
- Women’s Singles
- Men’s Singles
- Women’s Pairs
- Men’s Pairs
- Women’s Fours
- Men’s Fours.
Players will be vying for both individual event honours as well as official World Bowls rankings.
In addition to the headlining ‘Sunraysia Classic’, there will be a Big Barefoot Bowls Bash for both registered and non-registered bowlers to take part in, starting with qualifying events at each of the host venues this Monday, 7 September.
Mildura Rural City Council is supporting the event through the Events Funding and Support Grants program.
