Swan Hill Rural City Council say they’re proud to have yesterday hosted the Regional Development Australia (RDA), the Murray River Group of Councils (MRGC) and the beginning of the Rural Councils Victoria (RCV) Forum right in Swan Hill.
They say yesterday was a big day of regional collaboration, bringing together leaders from across rural and regional Victoria to talk about the challenges, the opportunities ahead and the investment communities need to thrive.
Yesterday MRGC confirmed its key priorities ahead of the Victorian State Election, including one that the Swan Hill community knows very well: a new Swan Hill Bridge.
Whether advocating locally, as a region or alongside rural councils across Victoria, the message is the same: regional communities deserve their fair share of investment.
And they say they’re stronger when they make that case together.
Mildura Rural City Council, Gannawarra Shire Council, Loddon Shire Council, Campaspe Shire Council and Moira Shire Council were all involved in day.
