Mildura Rural City Council have made a community update on the roadworks in Seventh Street, saying works on the major reconstruction of Seventh Street between Langtree and Lime Avenues are on schedule for completion in October.
Demolition works have now been completed, and drainage works are approximately 80% complete, with works outside pavement areas expected to be finished within the next three weeks.
Preparation of the sub-grade level is now underway ahead of stabilisation works .in August

The project includes:
• Replacement of the existing road base
• Drainage infrastructure upgrades
• Reconstruction of kerb and channel
• New footpath on the river side of Seventh Street
• Fresh asphalt surface
• New pram ramps to improve accessibility
• Splitter islands to improve intersection safety
Council have thanked businesses, residents and the community for their patience while these works continue.
