July 30, 2026 7:02 am in by

Member for Mildura, Jade Benham, is encouraging sporting clubs, active recreation groups and community organisations across the Mildura electorate to apply for the latest round of the Regional All Abilities Participation Grants.

Grants of up to $25,000 are available to help grassroots clubs and not-for-profit organisations create more opportunities for people with disability to participate in sport and active recreation.

Ms Benham said local clubs played a vital role in bringing communities together and these grants would help ensure more people could take part, regardless of ability.

“Sport has an incredible way of bringing people together, building confidence and creating lifelong friendships, and everyone should have the opportunity to be involved,” Ms Benham said.

Funding is available across three categories: Equipment and Travel, Inclusion Workforce, and Programs and Disability-led Initiatives. Eligible projects include purchasing modified equipment and assistive technology, reducing travel costs, employing specialised support staff, developing ongoing participation programs and supporting disability-led initiatives.

Applications are now open and close on 12 August.
