MRCC is inviting the community to play a role improving urban biodiversity in the Mildura South Wetlands area as part of Mildura Rural City Council’s National Tree Day event on Sunday, 26 July.
This year’s event will focus on the Robbins Wetland, which is part of the broader South Mildura Wetlands.
The plan this year is to plant 300 trees in the area, which will not only benefit the environment but is a great opportunity for residents to come together, meet new people and get active outdoors.
Council’s National Tree Day event will get underway at 10:00am and run through to 11.30am, with morning tea provided.
Robbins Wetland is on Rita Drive, off Ontario Ave, close to Sixteenth Street.
Council will provide gloves, tools, buckets, drinking water and refreshments.
Participants are asked to wear appropriate clothing, including good sturdy shoes and long pants.
