Telstra customers right across Australia are reporting issues with the provider’s mobile phone network.
Outage site https://downdetector.com.au/ shows a large spike in reports beginning before 5:00am.
Calls to Triple Zero (000) are believed to be unaffected, with calls rerouted to use other mobile networks.

A message on the Telstra Facebook page says:
“We’re looking into an issue affecting some mobile calls and data connections. If you’re having trouble connecting at first, try again as it may work on a retry. We’re on it and will share an update as soon as it’s fixed. Thanks for bearing with us.”
