To improve road safety, Transport for NSW is installing 12.8 kilometres of flexible safety barriers and new end terminals on the Silver City Highway (north of Wentworth) and the Sturt Highway (west of Euston).
Motorists should expect changed traffic conditions in these areas for approximately six weeks, including single lane closures and a reduced 40km/h speed limit.
The work will be carried out on various sections of a 70km stretch of the Silver City Highway and a 6km stretch of the Sturt Highway.
Work will take place from next Monday (May 18th) and take approximately six weeks to complete, weather permitting.
Work will be carried out between 7:00am and 6:00pm weekdays and 8:00am and 1:00pm Saturdays.
The works are to be funded by a $1.2 Million grant from Transport for NSW via the Towards Zero Safer Roads Program.
