The Royal Australian Air Force 1FTS is returning to Mildura this month.
From 24 May to 6 June, the RAAF’s No. 1 Flying Training School (1FTS) will be back in the region for a two-week navigation training exercise, bringing student pilots and instructors to Mildura Airport.
This marks their third visit, reinforcing Mildura’s reputation as a high-quality training environment with ideal flying conditions.
During their stay you can expect to see increased aircraft activity across the region and the public viewing area at Mildura Airport is a great spot to safely watch the action.
The community will also have a chance to meet some of the pilots and crew at the RAAF Museum Open Day on Sunday 31 May from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
The event will celebrate the reopening of the museum in its new hangar, featuring a CAC Sabre as the centrepiece and a fantastic collection of aviation history.
