Police are continuing to investigate a serious crash at Truro on Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to the Sturt Highway, east of Truro, just before 9:00am on Sunday 3 May, following reports a BMW sedan had collided with a caravan being towed by a Ford ute.
The BMW driver, a 20‑year‑old man from Hampstead Gardens, was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition with life‑threatening injuries.
The driver of the ute, a 55‑year‑old man from New South Wales, and his passenger were not physically injured in the crash.
Major Crash investigators attended the scene and examined the circumstances surrounding the crash, with the assistance of local Highway Patrols.
Both vehicles and the caravan were towed from the scene.
The Sturt Highway was closed to all traffic, including heavy vehicles, for several hours, however, reopened at about 5.45pm.
