More students across Sunraysia and the Mallee will be able to learn valuable coding and online skills following an $8.7 million sponsorship from ASX-listed company WiseTech Global.
The three-year sponsorship of not-for-profit organisation KIK Innovation will support the online learning platform Grok Academy to provide free courses to all students, teachers and schools across Australia and New Zealand.
Founder and CEO of KIK Innovation, Louise Nobes, says coding and other online skills are critical for Australia’s future digital economy.
“This extraordinary support from WiseTech Global marks a major milestone in our mission to remove barriers to education and opportunity for young people.”
“Coding and digital literacy are no longer niche skills – they are foundations for the future workforce.”
Acquired by KIK Innovation in November 2024, Grok Academy is an engaging, gamified platform that guides and supports students as they build knowledge and confidence in coding, digital technologies and digital literacy.
It also equips teachers with ready-to-use classroom resources that make learning digital technologies accessible and fun.
