Celebrate Australia Day 2026 at Nowingi Place

Mildura Rural City Council is encouraging the community to grab a picnic rug or chair and join family, friends and the rest of the community for a morning of Australia Day celebrations along Mildura’s iconic riverfront on Monday 26 January.

Returning once again to Nowingi Place on Hugh King Drive, Mildura Rural City Council’s Australia Day celebrations will get under way from 8:00am, with a free Lions Club breakfast and coffee, plus live entertainment.

The event will also see Council announce winners of the annual Australia Day Awards across three categories – Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Event/Project of the Year.
