Road Works & Temporary Closures: Pitman Avenue and Midway Drive, Buronga

Essential Energy have some weekend electrical maintenance works in Buronga.

These works involve a pole change and the reconductoring of powerlines across three poles to ensure the continued reliability of our local power network.

Work Schedule:

• Date: Sunday, 14 December 2025
• Time: 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Location: Intersection of Pitman Avenue and Midway Drive, Buronga

Traffic Impacts: To ensure the safety of the community and the work crews, the following traffic changes will be in place:

• Pitman Avenue: A single lane closure will be in effect. Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists.
• Midway Drive: A road closure will be in place for all north-bound traffic. The works require dropping old wires and running new ones across the road.
• Detours: Detour signage will be implemented to assist drivers navigating around the worksite.
• Resident Access: Soft closures will be utilized where possible to maintain access and egress for local residents.
• Pedestrians: Safe passage will be provided around the worksite.

Motorists and pedestrians are being asked to obey the signage, including “Road Closed” and “Detour” markers, and use caution near the work zone.
