A man has been reported for drink driving after recording a blood alcohol reading more than seven times the legal limit.
About 4.30pm on Thursday 9 October, Renmark police and emergency crews were called to the intersection of Eight Street and Begara Street to reports of a Nissan station wagon crashing into vineyards.
Police located the driver a short time later at a nearby Renmark North address.
It will be alleged that the driver, a 33-year-old Renmark man, returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.355 – more than seven times the legal limit.
The driver was reported for aggravated driving without due care, drink driving and issued a 12-month instant loss of licence notice.
He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
