Mildura Rural City Council has reminded locals that nesting season is here.
They say that spring is a busy time for Australian birds.
With warmer weather and plenty of food available, birds are preparing to raise their young, with nest building is in full swing.
Council is encouraging locals to keep an eye out in your backyard and neighbourhood trees for birds like the Magpie-lark, crafting their signature mud cup nests, or the Red Wattlebird, building twig nests lined with soft materials.
These soft linings are often feathers, but these birds have also been known to pull stuffing from furniture or collect loose pet hair.
MRCC is asking residents to remember to keep their distance and observe without disturbing.
