Weekend traffic policing in the Riverland

Riverland Police say they kept a close eye on unsafe driving behaviour across the region over the weekend.

Incident detected included on Sunday:

• 1:00am – Renmark: A 34-year-old man from Renmark was stopped driving his Mitsubishi sedan on Remark Avenue and underwent a drug test, returning a positive result for methamphetamine. He will be summonsed to court following forensic analysis of his test.
• 3.40am – Berri: A 47-year-old woman from Renmark was stopped on Bosman Drive in her Kia wagon and underwent a breath test where she returned a result of 0.140 – nearly three times the legal limit. She was issued with a 6-month instant loss of licence and will be summonsed to court.
