Lock 11 at Mildura Weir will be closed for maintenance from Monday, 15 September to Friday, 19 September.
Lock 11 enables the passage of boats and watercraft on the Murray River while maintaining a reliable water level.
During these works vessels will not be able to pass through the lock.
Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) General Manager Water Storage Services Jon McKeown said the works involved routine maintenance on the gates.
“This is important to ensure the lock’s ongoing reliable operation,” Mr McKeown said.
“We have scheduled the closure ahead of the Victorian school holidays to minimise impact on the community and recreational users.”
Mildura Weir and Lock 11 are operated and maintained by GMW on behalf of the Murray– Darling Basin Authority (MDBA).
