An annual 10 Day Ride, run this year by the Border Western Horse Group, has raised over $10,000 for two local Charities.

They raised a donation for $6126.84 to the Pooncarie Hospital and $4000.00 to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Makin’ Tracks On Tapio 2025, this year’s 10 Day Ride was held in April/May 2025, at Tapio Station.

The Barnfield family not only hosted the event, but organised to deliver water to the camps, provide wood and mobile toilets when needed, and were instrumental in providing an amazing meal at our Dinner Dance.

During the 10 days the participants (121 people and 80 horses) rode around the vast Tapio Station, joined in on 3 Games days, enjoyed a themed Dinner Dance, ate very ‘local’ roast lamb, and were given the opportunity to win prizes from raffles and order merchandise.

Daily fines for the not-so-good and the funny antics added to the hilarity at the Musters, on the very crisp and frosty mornings.

The event culminated with the presentation of the very sought after annual NARA (not a riders a…hole) OR NACA (not a campers a…hole) Award.

The generosity of the participants allowed the committee to forward on these donations recently.
