Member for Mildura, Jade Benham, is encouraging eligible local organisations to apply for the latest round of the Victorian Government’s Community Food Relief Fund.
Ms Benham said the program supports community organisations that help people access food, particularly those experiencing hardship.
“Many families across our region are doing it tough with rising costs of living, and access to food relief has never been more important,” Ms Benham said.
Funding is available to eligible groups including neighbourhood houses, community-led organisations, social enterprises, Aboriginal entities, and local government bodies acting on behalf of community groups.
Grants can be used to improve food storage and distribution, upgrade facilities such as kitchens, purchase equipment, and support the work of volunteers.
Funding can also assist with program delivery and staff costs to help meet local demand.
Applications for the 2025-2026 Community Food Relief Program – Local Grants close on August 19 2025.
