A Mildura bar tender has been handed a 15 month community corrections order and told to undergo treatment for problems with alcohol and mental health over charges after a drunken night out.
The man pleading guilty to charges including wilful damage and unlawful assault.
The court heard the man and a female victim had been to several bars in the region before heading to her home.
There an argument between the two broke out, with the victim telling the man to leave, with the man pushing the victim into a wall hard enough to cause a hole in the plaster according to reports from the Sunraysia Daily.
The court also heard of another incident where the man had attempted to break down a woman’s door.
His 12 days in custody will not go on his criminal record.
