Speed continues to be an issue in the Riverland including:
About 11.40 am Friday 27 June Police were conducting mobile speed detection duties in Murtho when they detected a Holden sedan driving on Murtho Road at 172km/hr in a 100km/hr zone.
Police stopped the car and spoke with the driver, a 30-year-old woman from Victoria.
The driver also returned a positive oral fluid sample. She may be summonsed to appear in the Berri court at a later date pending forensic analysis.
She received an expiation notice for excessive speed and was issued with a 6-month loss of licence.
