Member for Mildura, Jade Benham, is encouraging young farmers to apply for support through the 2025 Upskill and Invest Young Farmers Scholarship Program.
The program provides scholarships of up to $10,000 for early-career farmers aged 18 to 40, with up to $5,000 available for education or training, and an additional $5,000 to invest directly into their farm business.
“This program is a great opportunity for young people in our region who are committed to building a future in agriculture,” Ms Benham said. “It supports practical skills development in areas like agronomy, irrigation, land management, and business operations, helping to strengthen our local farming communities.”
Applications are open to young farmers who have been working in a farm business for at least three days a week over the past three months and have at least two years of on-farm experience.

Applications close at 5pm on 23 July 2025.
