Swan Hill Rural City Council’s unplanned meeting to discuss sister city visits has wrapped up as soon as it started.
It was unable to get enough councillors to attend the meeting, with another planned down the track.
The meeting was called following community unrest over the rural city’s decision last year to accept an invitation for Mayor Stuart King to visit Swan Hill’s sister city Yamagata, in Japan, but not Robinvale’s sister city Villers-Bretonneux in France this year.
