Mildura Rural City Council is calling on young leaders aged between 16 and 25 to join the 2024 YMCA Youth Parliament team.
The program is designed to give young Victorians an opportunity to participate in the parliamentary process of the Victorian State Government, and a chance to advocate on issues they are passionate about that are relevant to all young people.
A team of six participants will be selected, who will receive training in public speaking and leadership, attend two residential camps and research issues they are enthusiastic about.
From their research, participants will develop a Bill, which they will debate in the Victorian Parliament over three days in July this year.
Expressions of interest are open until 5pm on Monday 22 January and can be made by filling out an online form at www.mildura.vic.gov.au/YouthParliament
