Mildura Rural City Council says councillors will consider extending the rate to six-years, saying it’ll Mildura City Heart to plan longer-term initiatives with more certainty.
The meeting is being held on Thursday evening.
If the Special Rate process is endorsed this week, traders and the community will have a longer than usual period to provide their feedback. This is due to the timing of this week’s Council meeting so close to the Christmas/New Year period.
Feedback will be taken until Monday 5 February 2024.
The submission process will be advertised once a decision is made this week.
