RBA promises to work with banks over cash

The Reserve Bank says physical cash still has an important role to play as it launches in inquiry into the shift to electronic payments.

Towns in Sunraysia have faced bank closures in the last few years including Robinvale and Mildura.

RBA Governor Michelle Bullock says they’ll work with financial businesses to make sure people can still get access to real money.
