Local towns with low deposit to value ratios

Two towns in Victoria’s north-west are among the areas with the lowest average deposit to value of the home.

Merbein tops the list with homebuyers forking out just over 25-and-a-half thousand dollars on their deposit, which is around 12-point-seven per cent of the value of the property.

Red Cliffs is also on the list, with a 33-thousand dollar deposit equating to 15 per cent of a home’s value.
