As the weather warms up, we’re being warned about an increase in mosquitoes.
Victorian Health Minister Mary-Anne Thomas says they’re worried about the upcoming season coming off the back of three wet years including the floods across Mildura and Swan Hill last summer.
A dedicated Japanese Encephalitis vaccine clinic is being held today at Mildura Rural City Council’s Deakin Avenue Service Centre.
The local government area is one of several across Victoria where the vaccination is eligible for residents who regularly work or spend a lot of time outdoors.
The clinic is on this afternoon between one and three.
A second clinic will be held on November 17.
Bookings are essential and must be made online.
